I make monotype prints using soy-based ink applied to a sheet of plastic. Each print is a “one of a kind” piece though it relates to other pieces in the group in which I am currently working. I take a recognizable form, shape or object. Through a process of accidental and intentional marks I transform what I started with. A piece is finished when there is a certain balance but I also recognize parts of my piece that are not balanced and are not complete, only suggestive. Many layers of ink application comprise each piece. I think this is the beauty of the process. Each monotype has its own history.

I have been a studio member of Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence Mass. since 2006. I have been a committee member of Easthampton City Arts+ since 2008. I have exhibited locally in group shows and out of the area with Zea Mays Printmaking.

Being selected as the winner of the first Eastmont Art Fund juried show for my piece of Echodale Farm.
