Carolyn A. Cushing

Poet

I am a poet inspired by nature and currently obsessed with cells and the first flaring forth of the universe. A couple of years ago I did a series of poems inspired by the life and work of Rachel Carson, and the biology and mystery of life has fascinated me ever since.

I have been writing and reading around the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts for over 15 years.

In 2012 my manuscript Before and After was a finalist for the Philbrick Poetry Award of the Providence Athenaeum.
