[tiny etchings]
I try to make what Bread and Puppet called “cheap art”–art that isn’t expensive, art that you can hang in your kitchen, things that you can take down off the wall and carry home under your arm. Part of this is based in my history working with zines. Part is that I believe that art should be available to everyone.
Basic bio: born in Delaware, raised in Massachusetts, dropped out of high school, finished Ph.D. at age 27. Everything else is rumors and lies!
I’ve had a few careers, including (but not limited to) soap slinger, experiential educator, cartoonist, researcher, editor, fact-checker (that one wasn’t for me), and sales & service. I like my day job. I’m involved in the Art-o-Mat project and had work in the machine in Faces in Northampton.
