Abandoned Building Brewery

Abandoned Building Brewery – Easthampton’s First Microbrewery

Abandoned Building Brewery is a traditional, craft, microbrewery located in a 1900s red brick mill building in Easthampton, Massachusetts. Our goal is to brew Belgian and American style ales that are unique, local, and highly enjoyable. The brewery strives to use as much as possible local and regional ingredients in the beer it brews.

Starting in March of 2013, Matt began transforming a 2,700 square foot space in the old mill building at 142 Pleasant Street, aptly named “The Brickyard”. The previous tenant was a plastic bag manufacturer who vacated the space and left it in shambles. Giant rolls of plastic, large pieces of equipment, and tons of odds-and-ends were stacked head-high throughout the space. Once the space was emptied of its contents, he transformed it into his vision of the brewery that stands today.

The brewery has ample wall space and vertical height to accommodate artists’ sculpture installations, video projections, live demonstrations, and wall hung objects. The renovated industrial mill atmosphere is conducive to a limitless variety of arts opportunities.
