Visit Easthampton Media during Art Walk on Friday February 7th from 6-9pm and view 2 Local Documentaries:
Showing at 6pm & 7:30pm – “Albert Kiesling Remembered”
Synopsis: Albert Kiesling (1885-1968) was born in Clinton, MA and moved to Easthampton to work in the textile mills. He could often be seen in the 1940s through the 1960s around town with an easel and paintbox, capturing a town landmark or rural landscapes. Albert also created big snow sculptures and elaborate parade floats that dazzled the locals. In this short film, Easthampton residents recall fond memories of the artist and his work.
Showing at 6:30pm & 7:45pm – “The Story of Nashawannuck Pond”
Synopsis: Nashawannuck Pond was originally created in 1847 by the Williston – Knight Button Company to provide hydroelectric power to the industrial mills. In this documentary, Easthampton residents talk about the history, memories, and what the pond means to them.
Both films were produced through Easthampton Media.
