Hashi Pottery will be participating in Eastworks Open Studios. Hashi sells one-of-a-kind, handcrafted ceramics created by Japanese potters or potters who have studied Japanese pottery techniques. Each pot conveys the values that distinguish Japanese artisanship: respect for materials, full mindfulness in the crafting process, and selfless service to those who will use their wares. Our potters use natural clay and sometimes wild clay harvested locally, and natural or homemade glazes made from local materials and most of the pots are wood-fired. When you use one of our cups, bowls, vases, or serving vessels, you will not only appreciate its beauty, but also the natural materials and the loving effort that brought it to me. In this way, the object deepens your attention to each moment and enhances your enjoyment of everything you do.
