oin us for an evening of handcrafted beauty at 50 Arrow Gallery and Moonlit Sea Prints during the upcoming Easthampton Art Walk. This special open house invites you to explore an evolving collection of functional ceramic art and textiles, ranging from intimate, everyday pieces to striking sculptural forms.
Discover the quiet elegance of hand-thrown yunomi for tea, bud vases, and deeply textured mugs and bowls, alongside statement pieces like expansive serving bowls, platters, and large vases—each crafted with an intuitive sense of balance, proportion, and materiality.
Much of the work featured is made by local potters who incorporate regionally sourced materials, including wild clay, river sand, crushed granite, and corn ash—elements that root each piece in a distinct sense of place. The Japanese aesthetic informs many of the works on display, emphasizing a reverence for natural forms, asymmetry, and the quiet depth found in weathered textures, soft glazes, and the marks of fire and hand.
This open house is an opportunity to experience the intersection of utility and artistry, to handle pieces that invite daily use while carrying the imprint of the maker’s touch. Whether you’re drawn to the warmth of a well-fitted teacup or the presence of a sculptural vessel, we welcome you to join us for conversation, appreciation, and a deeper encounter with the beauty of handmade work.
