KC Scott returned to art full time following a nearly 50 year career in graphics and advertising. Educated at the Art Institute of Chicago, Yale University, School of Visual arts (NYC), he holds an MFA from University of Massachusetts. His work has been shown locally in the Valley and in New York City. He has been a member of the Oxbow Gallery since 2017.
Scott says “Geometry, color, symmetry, periodicity, mathematical constants, and mathematical oddities such as the Fibonacci sequence— I find these building blocks of perception and understanding endlessly fascinating. Wherever my wandering creativity takes me— from realism to abstraction, whimsy or introspection, even to the farthest reaches of conceptual art, these foundational elements are the fertile ground to which I have always returned.”
