Cut paper works by Margaret Humbert-Droz: The utility knife and its mini cousin, the X-Acto swivel knife, are the tools she slices into, slash or cut shapes out of a variety of papers she then assembles into images. Some are collaged into figurative landscapes; others play with geometry or dimension. The ‘needle drawings’ constitute a trilogy of imaginary maps embroidered on linen.
