John Gnatek, a native of Hadley Massachusetts, born december 27 1931, Along with his two artist brothers he studied under Stephen Hamilton. His studies continued at the University of Miami, Maryland Institute, and the London City Guild Art School. His lifetime of art has produced numerous awards.
Noted for his landscapes, especially birch trees, and street scenes, John’s media include watercolor, oil and acrylic. He is a member of Southern Vermont Art Center, North Shore Arts Association, and the williamsburg Brush and Pallette. John’s paintings are in collections in the United States, Europe and Central America, South America, Japan and the Caribbean.
