Elise Kathryn Trelegan
Photographer, Conservationist, Designer
Elise is interested in the intersection of people, animals, and the environment. Much of her work addresses conservation initiatives through landscape photography and community based art.
Elise earned her B.A. from Hampshire College with an interdisciplinary concentration in the analysis of the Atlantic salmon restoration effort on the Connecticut River through literature based review, journalistic investigation, science communication and visual communication. Her photography exhibition titled, “Rendering the River: An analysis of the Atlantic Salmon Restoration on the Connecticut River” was exhibited in the Harold Johnson Library Gallery, in December 2012.
Named New England Trail Fellow for the National Park Service, January 2013. She works under the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program to promote the active involvement of young people in the natural environment and to connect with youth through art.
