Easthampton Clay is a new and growing ceramics community in western Massachusetts with a large, well-equipped studio space that is shared by a diverse group of ceramic artists and potters. Come to our gallery opening reception celebrating the work of our featured artist, Kit Grindeland. You’ll get an opportunity to talk with Kit about their work and get a free Easthampton Clay magnet. Kit Grindeland (they/them) is new to Northampton after 10 years in Boston as an actor/ teacher/ zoo educator/ props designer, etc. They love painting and ceramics, having started their first pottery class at Easthampton Clay last fall. Their work is developed through play and curiosity for the natural world, the magic of queerness, and the knick-knacks on thrift stores shelves that make you pause and smile.
