WATERCOLORS BY NANCY NICKERSON
Artist Nancy Nickerson exhibits a collection of her work at the Greater Easthampton Chamber of Commerce Gallery from August 20, 2012 through October 31, 2012.
Nickerson calls herself a “down-to-earth artist.” Her landscape watercolor paintings aim to capture the volatile beauty of the changing seasons in the Pioneer Valley. The exhibition will also include watercolor depictions of animals and flowers. Easthampton born and bred, Nickerson finds painting to be a great relief and release from the chaos of current events.
The artist explains, “I love to paint anything that is ‘real’…like living, trees and flowers and oceans, people and places too.”
Nickerson is a prolific painter and would love to be able to sell her work full time. Until then, she continues to sell houses as a realtor at The Taylor Agency.
She is an ECA+ member, as well as a member of the Easthampton Art Appreciation Guild. She lives in Easthampton with her husband of 20 years.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The gallery, located at 33 Union Street, Easthampton, MA, is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
