ECC 2013 GRANT APPLICATION THEME
Re-create Easthampton Cultural Council
The Easthampton Cultural Council
announces that the theme for the 2013 grant applications is “Re-Create”. Applications are being accepted for programming in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences for projects to benefit the citizens of Easthampton. The deadline for applications is October 15, 2012.

Each year the Cultural Council selects a theme in order to inspire new and interesting projects in Easthampton. “Re-Create” refers to projects that highlight environmental issues and public spaces in our community as well as relationships we have with nature.

Projects must occur during 18-month grant cycle and priority will be given to proposals that demonstrate collaboration amongst community members and organizations. Examples of this might be a performance or presentation for the monthly Art Walk Easthampton or a project targeted towards a school or organization.

Funding for the Easthampton Cultural Council is provided by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). Previously funded projects in Easthampton, Bear Fest 2009 and Art in the Orchard (2011) received recognition as Gold Star recipients, exemplary projects reflecting the mission of MCC.
