encaustics, oils, and collage
My work is process oriented. Without fixed preconceptions, I allow the medium to guide me with lots of scraping and rebuilding along the the way, sometimes leaving a visual history. Every painting starts as an unknown as I try to get out of my own way. Drawing inspiration from natural forms, eastern patterns, and geometry, I interweave them into richly colored, abstract compositions.
