MAP - Mill Arts Project
What is MAP?
The Mill Arts Project is a collaboration between Easthampton City Arts and Eastworks that offers gallery space to incubate new curatorial voices in a community context. While curators bring a vision and dedication, Eastworks and ECA assist with space and offer an intensive educational curatorial and organizational guide as well as assistance in project direction.
ECA+ is seeking entries for creative uses of the Eastworks space for MAP.
The MAP call is open to all creative persons. ECA+ invites potential creative use of the space including but not limited to visual exhibition, installation, dance residency and performance, installation, writing group residency, or a pop-up shop.
Prospective curators must provide a proposal and will be selected based on creative merit, originality and conceptual development, probability of successful execution, public engagement, and qualifications. Collaborations and group projects are encouraged.
Selected curators will be guided through the MAP process and guidelines which includes the presentation of a public event. Selected curators must comply with the MAP guidelines and fulfill requirements by the end of their scheduled time within the space. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, and scheduling will occur as applications are submitted. Submit soon and early!
No specific funding is currently allocated for this project, however ECA+ will work with selected applicants to identify potential funding sources.
